Wood Briquettes

Wood Briquettes

Wood briquettes are made of ground wood waste in the form of sawdust and chips pressed under tremendous pressure without glue. The low humidity makes the fuel value of the briquette higher than that of wood. Due to the high concentration of the material in relation to its volume, the burning process is slow and gradual.

The significance of briquettes as a fuel in Poland is growing, since it is an attractive alternative fuel for many customers. It also coincides with current trends in environment protection.

Wood briquettes have many qualities, including:

- high density, and ease of storing and distribution,
- permitted use in boiler rooms with an automatic fuel feed,
- high fuel value, comparable with a poor quality bituminous coal,

- does not contain any harmful substances,

- low emission of sulphur dioxide and other harmful substances while burning,
- low ash content,
- possible use of ash as a fertilizer,
- long shelf-life in dry rooms,
- wide spectrum of applications: in individual boiler rooms, boiler rooms supplying heating networks, and fireplaces.

GRABO manufactures briquettes that are used in boiler rooms and fireplaces. Briquettes are packed in plastic bags, put on pallets and then secured with tape. This way GRABO offers an aesthetic and advanced product.
